Yellow Door Energy (YDE) is an award-winning leader in sustainable energy solutions, specializing in Build-Own-Operate-Transfer (BOOT) solar and energy storage services for businesses in Jordan and beyond. Founded in 2015, YDE has achieved remarkable growth, amassing over 400 megawatts-peak (MWp) of awarded solar projects across Jordan, the UAE, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar and South Africa.
In 2025, the company celebrated its 10-year anniversary, marking a remarkable milestone of clean energy from its operating projects, equivalent to reducing carbon emissions by 400,000 metric tons.
The company partners with businesses to lower energy costs, enhance power reliability, and reduce carbon footprints. Its diverse customer portfolio includes esteemed names such as Umniah, Capital Bank, GID/ASEZA, and Honda. YDE’s solutions encompass rooftop solar, ground-mount solar, solar carports, EV chargers, and battery energy storage systems (BESS), among other innovative technologies.
As a BOOT solar provider, YDE takes full responsibility for financing, designing, constructing, commissioning, operating, and maintaining solar projects for 10 to 20 years.
Globally, YDE currently operates 148 MWp of solar assets, with 81 MWp located in Jordan.
Demonstrating its commitment to excellence, YDE established a Center of Excellence for Operations & Maintenance (O&M) near its Capital Bank solar farm in Om Al Amad, Jordan. This center enhances the technical expertise and hands-on skills of YDE’s O&M team while ensuring its in-house services remain comprehensive and industry leading.
Key functions of the O&M Center of Excellence include training internal and external stakeholders on solar PV systems, conducting oil lab testing for transformers, performing dissolved gas-in-oil analyses, housing a global technical asset library, providing repair services for solar equipment, and hosting corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities for the local community.
YDE’s excellence has been recognized with numerous prestigious industry awards, including the Industrial Solar Project of the Year for Classic Fashion, as awarded by the Middle East Solar Industry Association (MESIA). Additionally, its CSR initiative, Project Daw, was honored with the Visual Media of the Year award by MESIA.
Project Daw reflects YDE’s dedication to creating positive social impact. This initiative supports job creation for youth aged 18 to 24 and donates a solar PV system to a community center. In its first phase, 20 youths received training in the design, installation, and O&M of solar PV plants. In the second phase, these trainees collaborated with YDE engineers to install solar panels at a community center in Al-Mafraq.
Yellow Door Energy (YDE) is deeply committed to advancing renewable energy in the Kingdom, aligning its efforts with Jordan’s Economic Modernization Vision. As a dedicated advocate for the solar industry in the MENA region, YDE actively contributes to industry conferences, sharing its expertise and insights to promote best practices and foster the development of successful solar projects.
